Portia Benbow, Owner
Established in 2018, Portia Benbow founded SportOps Event Management as a result of her passion for sport operations and event management. She is a highly skilled operations and logistics event manager with an undeniable desire to serve and operate in excellence.
Since 2005, she has worked in sport administration and operations at both the collegiate and professional level for esteemed organizations such as the Atlanta Dream (2018), Georgia State University Women’s Basketball (2015-2018), University of Indianapolis Women’s Basketball (2011-2012) and the Georgia Institute of Technology Women’s Basketball Team (2005-2006).
In 2018, Portia joined the Major Events team at Mercedes- Benz Stadium, Home to the Atlanta Falcons and The Atlanta United. In this role she helped plan and/or execute 18 + Major Events including the Atlanta Falcons Draft Party, several Atlanta United 40K-70K Soccer Matches, the 2018 SEC Championship, and Super Bowl LI.
Since transitioning from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, she has continued to work in event management at an event venue in West Atlanta. In her current role as the Event and Operations Manager, she oversees the execution of various social and corporate events.
